The friends of Hospice is committed to supporting Hospice through public awareness, professional education and financial assistance. Friends of Hospice funding comes from memorial donations, fundraising and private foundation grants. Friends of Hospice‍‍‍ provides funding for non-medical patient and family support; the Hospice volunteer program; bereavement support (including Camp Rainbow of Hope); education and advertising as well as Hospice staff development.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT‍‍‍

All direct volunteers participate in an 24-hour DVD training that provides the skills and tools needed to support hospice patients and their families. The training includes topics such as: effective communication and presence, boundaries, spiritual care, grief and loss, infection control, privacy and regulatory issues, and the roles‍‍‍ and responsibilities of a volunteer.
